Ballpoint pen on paper.
This drawing is just so amazing. Iv'e learned a lot from just looking at your drawings and you have given me so much inspiration! Thanks!
hi, kiyoshi5, thank you so much for your comment. and I feel glad that my art is an inspiration for you. thank you!
Astonishing skill! I love the interwoven feel, which remind me of the celtic knotwork, and all this from a ballpoint pen? Incredible! Congratulations!
So amazingly detailed! Love me some ballpoint pen.
What god is this? What is s/he's abilities, personality, strengths, weaknesses, relationships and importantly the name (common-name and True-name)?
Simply beautiful, beauty and horror, complex and Devine. Lovely lines and shading.
Holy cow, drawn with ball-point? That is amazing, it doesn't even look like there are any mistakes! I could never do something like this!
that is exquisite pen work! fantastic job
I feel like there's a lot of meaning in this piece, a lot of pagan gods seem to be nature based, accounting for all the plants plus the worms (plus the tree bark mask). This would also explain the monkey-ish appearance of the pagan god itself and the birds as well, since it's centered around nature. I think the children are worshippers: the one at the bottom is praying, the trumpet (or flute?) is playing music for the pagan god, while the child at the top with the mask is the priest. I'm not too sure about the purpose of the blankets, but thanks for an amazing piece! It's quite beautiful and interesting!
Thank you for your conclusion, It is really nice to see this pic in a different perspective, with different concepts and visions. I'm going to share something to you, here is the color version of this piece, as you can see, it is completely colorful, because I wanted to exaggerate the tones and the vibe. davidlopezart.tumblr.com/post/… there is a song from my favorite band, The chemical Brothers that inspired me to make this piece, the name of the song is "The private psychedelic Reel". Thanks again!
Thank you for introducing me to the colored version of the picture and the song! I listened to the song while looking at the colored version and it looks fantastic! There are so many other little things in the picture that I was able to see with the color, and it gives off this neat festival-for-a-god feeling. I also really love the texture, especially the transition at the top of the mask from fur to bark.
Amazing! I can't even imagine how you'd go about creating something like this. Really beautiful work.
Very well done.
It does my heart good to see you get this DD, my friend. You always have fascinating work. Congrats, David!
Congrats on the DD!
This is freaking cool!!! I feel in love with it!!!^^
Amazing. Do I detect a Richard Kirk influence here? Or am I imagining stuff?
Little guys wearing a nature suit. Picking up a curious vibe.
